Otter Creek Church of Christ

OCYG = Otter Creek Youth Group. A.k.a. my second family.

My family has attended OC for five years now. The youth group has become for me a place to not only grow closer to God, but to make some quality friends.

Several of my youth group pals and I saw Seussical at Harding during last spring's Bison Days! One of them is even coming to Harding next year.

Covenant Group

A "CG" is someone's grade and gender within the youth group. Throughout the year, we meet, eat, and grow closer to God together, CGs are the glue of the OCYG, it has often been said.

picnicking is one of our favorite pass-times.

Service

The OCYG strives to serve others in the church, community, and world abroad. I've done everything from baking cookies for construction workers and working car washes, to feeding the homeless in Nashville and delivering Meals on Wheels.

Camp

Otter Creek Christian Camp is what I consider the best week of the year.

My Baptism

I gave my life to God on January 30th, 2011. My youth minister, David Rubio, did the honors.

Retreats

The fall retreat and Winterfest are the biggest events of the year, aside from camp. I have always loved both; they give you a chance to forget about the stress in your life for one weekend.
